Privacy

Your designs never leave your phone, unless you sign in and save a project: then it’s stored in Mockea’s cloud, just for you.

What you do in Mockea

The images, text and fonts you upload, the mockups, the videos and the print files are created on your own phone or computer. Mockea doesn’t upload them to any server and can’t see them.

What’s stored in your browser

Only preferences, so next time you pick up where you left off: the last product and its color, and how fast your phone runs the AI. The AI models are cached so they don’t download again. You can clear it all from your browser settings.

Your account (if you open one)

You don’t need an account to use Mockea. If you open one (with a code to your email, a password, Google or Facebook), we store your name, your email, the country you signed up from, your plan and when you last signed in. The password is optional; if you set one, we store only its encrypted fingerprint (a hash), never the password, and nobody from Mockea will ask for it. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we store the identifier that network gives us to recognize you; nothing else from your account there.

If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we only receive your name, your email and that identifier; the network tells us nothing else about your account, and Mockea doesn’t post or write anything in your name. When creating the account, if there’s a captcha, Cloudflare Turnstile checks you’re not a robot: it sees technical data from your browser and doesn’t identify you.

Cookies

Without an account, Mockea sets no cookies. No ad or tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, no social buttons watching you. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner: there’s nothing to accept.

With your account open, the site uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in:

  • The session one (mockea-session): it says it’s you while you browse. It’s deleted when you close the browser or sign out.
  • The “remember me” one (remember_cliente_…): so you don’t have to request a code every time and the installed app signs back in on its own. It lasts years; it’s deleted when you tap “Sign out” or “Sign out of all devices”.
  • The form security one (XSRF-TOKEN): it keeps another site from sending requests in your name.

Cloudflare, which protects the site against attacks, may set its own technical cookies (such as __cf_bm) that don’t identify you and last less than a day. You can delete them all from your browser settings; the only thing that happens is you have to sign in again.

Your projects in the cloud

Only if you sign in and tap “Save”: the project (its layers, text and settings), the images it uses and a thumbnail are stored on Mockea’s server, on a private disk only your session reaches. Nobody else sees them, they’re used for nothing but showing them to you, and you can delete them whenever you want from “My projects” (they go to a trash for 30 days) or delete the whole account from “My account”: your projects and images are removed from the disk.

If you tap “Share”, the project gets a link (mockea.com/v/…) that is public to anyone who has it: anyone with that link sees the mockup in 3D (not your other projects or your account) and can tap “Approve” with their name. You turn it off and back on from “My projects”; it’s deleted with the project. Each opening counts a view, without knowing who made it. The image WhatsApp shows in the chat is a card with the project thumbnail, also public while the link exists.

On the free plan projects expire: one that goes 30 days without being opened or saved gets an email notice and, if nobody opens it in 7 more days, it’s permanently deleted with its images. Opening or saving it restarts the count.

What Mockea counts

To know what gets used, Mockea counts without identifying you: a visit, that you uploaded a design, which product and scene you chose, what kind of file you downloaded (photo, video, PDF…), whether it was from a phone or a computer, and the country. It doesn’t store your IP address or anything from your design; the only thing linking it to you is a daily code that can’t be reversed and is different the next day.

For every file you download we also count how you downloaded it: the file type, the product and its color, whether it was with your image, with ✨ Create, text only or the sample, the options you chose (mirror, bleed, the PDF paper, the video length and format, the three products facing front) and, if you changed the template size, that size in inches. Your design is never counted or stored: not your images, not the text you type, not your file names.

If you sign in, what gets counted is linked to your account (for your daily limits and so the Mockea team can help you): what you did and when, in words, and the names of the projects you save. The team never sees your project images: only you see those.

The emails we send you

With an account we email you what’s yours (your sign-in code, what happens with your projects) and, unless you turn it off, a few tips the first days, a reminder if you go a while without signing in, and Mockea news. Every email carries a one-pixel image and links that go through mockea.com: that’s how we know, approximately, whether you opened it and which link you tapped. We don’t store your IP address: a click leaves only a fingerprint that can’t be reversed. Those clicks are deleted after 12 months.

What can be turned off is turned off with the “Choose what you get” link at the bottom of each one (or your inbox’s “unsubscribe” button), and it’s always respected: an unsubscribe is never erased. If your inbox bounces or you mark one of our emails as spam, we stop writing. Emails go out through Resend, which tells us whether they arrived or bounced.

Services the page loads

To work, your browser downloads libraries and fonts from jsDelivr, unpkg, Google Fonts and Google (the face model). As on any site, those services receive technical data such as your IP address. Your designs are never sent.
