Terms of use
Mockea’s rules, in plain English. By creating an account you accept them; if you disagree with something, better not to create one (the studio works without an account).
In short: Mockea is free and in beta. What you upload is yours, and you’re responsible for having the right to it. Mockea isn’t liable for what you print or for a lost project. You can’t abuse the service or resell it. You can close your account whenever you want.
What Mockea is
Mockea is a mockup studio for sublimation: you pick a product, add your image and take away the 3D mockup, the video, the Etsy photo or the exact print file. It’s free and in beta: we’re still finishing it, so something may break or change from one day to the next. Mockea makes it from New York.
Your account
- One account per person, with a real email: that’s where your sign-in code and project updates arrive.
- The account is yours: don’t lend it. If you set a password, keep it safe; nobody from Mockea will ever ask for it, not by email nor by message.
- If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we only receive your name, your email and an identifier to recognize you.
- If you think someone got into your account, change the password and tap “Sign out of all devices” in My account.
What you upload
The images, text and designs you put in Mockea are yours: Mockea keeps no rights over them and only uses them to show them to you and to build what you ask for (the mockup, the video, the print file).
You’re responsible for having the right to use them. Don’t upload other people’s art, characters, logos or photos without their permission: if someone complains about a design you uploaded, the responsibility is yours, not Mockea’s. If we receive a well-founded complaint, we may delete that project.
What you print and what you save
The print file comes out at the size each product states, but every tumbler, press and paper is different: test before printing in bulk. Mockea isn’t liable for a print that went wrong or for what you spend on it.
A project you share by link (mockea.com/v/…) can be seen by anyone with that link, until you turn it off from “My projects” or delete the project: you decide who you send it to.
Projects you save to the cloud are subject to your plan’s limits (how many projects, how much space, how many days they’re kept). A deleted project goes to a trash for a while and is then permanently deleted. Keep your important files on your device too: Mockea isn’t liable for a project that gets lost, is deleted by plan limits or stops opening.
What you can’t do
- Using programs, bots or scripts to create accounts, mass-download or load the service more than a person would.
- Bypassing plan limits, locks or the captcha, or hunting for flaws to exploit them.
- Reselling Mockea, charging for access or presenting it as yours. Selling what you make with your designs is fine: that’s what it’s for.
- Uploading content that is illegal, offensive or harmful to others.
If any of this happens, we may close the account without notice.
Closing the account and changes
You can delete your account whenever you want from My account → Delete my account: your projects and images are removed from the server. Mockea is in beta, so the service, the plans and these terms may change; if the change is important we’ll tell you on the site or by email, and continuing to use Mockea afterwards means you accept it. Mockea may stop offering a feature, or the whole service, with enough notice for you to download what’s yours.
Privacy
What Mockea stores about you, the cookies and the emails are in the Privacy policy. In short: your designs never leave your device unless you sign in and save them yourself.
